Sarina Esmaeelzade
On September 23, 2022, Iranian teenager Sarina Esmailzadeh was killed by several baton beating on the head by security forces during the Mahsa Amini protests in Karaj, Alborz province, Iran, according to human rights organizations.[1] She was 16 years old.
The local Justice Department denied any responsibility for her death, claiming that she committed suicide after jumping from a building's rooftop and had a history of drug abuse. The authorities made similar claims about 16-year-old Nika Shakarami, who had also attended the protests and died under suspicious circumstances.
I should say that our dear Sarina was a YouTuber and so talented.
Shakarami and Esmailzadeh, according to media sources, became the new faces of the ongoing protests in Iran. Their pictures appeared on posters secretly plastered on Iranian cities' walls.
Sarina's mother tried to kill herself after discovering her beloved dater had been killed.
